Implement objc::Encode for NSRect.
This PR implements `objc::Encode` for `NSRect`, `NSSize` and `NSPoint`. The goal is to be able to send messages that take `NSRect` arguments such as `initWithFrame:`.

this PR makes a few improvements to the NSString bindings.
It adds the following :
1. solves issue #73 to use initWithBytes:length:encoding in init_str.
2. Adds cargo tests on append_string, utf8 conversion and init string.
3. Adds a length function.

Do app activation in example through NSRunningApplication to get menubar to work
Issue #98 and a comment in issue #30 both note that the example app has no menu bar when the app starts. This PR changes the activation logic to use NSRunningApplication instead of NSApplication to do the activation. On my Yosemite machine, this causes the menu bar to appear when the example app is started.

activateWithOptions: NSApplicationActivateIgnoringOtherApps]
which is used in the example to fix the missing menu bar when
the example app starts.
